The world of FADEN
What we
stand for.
When women are well, the world is well. We make room for women to return to their own knowing, and to meet one another with honesty and care. What begins within us can reach far beyond us.
Our foundational belief
When women
are well,
the world is well.
A woman’s wellbeing matters in its own right. She need not earn it.
Healing happens together, and it travels: to our families, our communities, the world.
Every principle that follows grows from this foundation.
The name
FADEN,
thread.
FADEN, pronounced FAH den, is the German word for thread. It comes from Lindsay’s own German lineage, a word from her family’s language rather than one borrowed from a culture that is not hers to claim. It is a thread she was given, and one she carries forward.
- 01
You are not broken. You are becoming.
We begin with who you are, not who you should be.
- 02
Less guru, more mirror.
We do this work too. We sit beside you, not above you.
- 03
Remember how you belong.
The women are the medicine. Another woman’s words can name what you have carried alone, and then you no longer carry it alone.
- 04
Our stories belong to something larger.
Through myth and story, we help you find your place within the patterns and cycles of nature, the cosmos and beyond. You are part of them, not separate from them.
- 05
The clinical and the ceremonial.
Rigour gives the work its steadiness. Reverence leaves room for wonder. Life can be both magical and explainable.
- 06
Engaged with all the senses.
This is embodied work. When we move out of the conceptual and into the sensorial, we receive a kind of truth that is undeniable.
- 07
Safety first.
Nothing opens until it feels safe. We tend that before anything else. And the unknown is not always unsafe.
- 08
A sovereign right to heal.
Your right to heal is sovereign, never earned.
- 09
Freedom, with discernment.
Freedom alone scatters. Discernment alone confines. Together they bring wholeness and coherence.
- 10
Mutual awe.
This is me, and I am it. We meet each other, and the living world, with the same wonder.
- 11
Consent, held together.
Your yes and your no both belong here. A yes to one moment is not a yes to the next. No never costs you care.
- 12
We return to life.
We return to daily life, not alone. The women we gather with become a lasting circle of support.
Feature
Play,
and rebellion.
Not everything asks to be understood through words. Sometimes it asks for a song, a movement, the surprise of laughter. Dance and creative expression make room for curiosity, and for meeting one another beyond the stories we usually tell.
Sometimes, after years of trauma, the work is to play. Not to dismiss what happened, but to make room for something beyond surviving. A moment of laughter. The freedom to be curious. To discover what feels joyful, without having to earn it.
To be unguarded. To take up space. To laugh without making yourself smaller. Play can be a quiet rebellion against who we were told to be.

Feature
Beauty
as medicine.
Before words.
Before thought.
Beauty meets us through the body. Warm light on skin. The texture of cloth. A voice, a scent, the rhythm of movement. We can feel something before we know how to name it.
At FADEN, we orient toward beauty in all ways. It is not decoration around the work. It is part of the encounter: how a space receives you, how care is felt, how the senses invite you into the present.
We design with the nervous system in mind. Light, sound, texture and the rhythm of a day are chosen with care, making room for rest rather than asking more of you. Every body is its own.
Come be held in beauty, with your own pace, boundaries and experience respected.
